The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied arresting the immediate past First Lady of Anambra State, Eberechukwu Obiano, according to a report released today, April 15, 2022 by DAILY POST.

More so, based on the report, it will be recalled that the social media was agog with reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arrested and detained Eberechukwu for alleged fraud.
Furthermore, reacting to the reports, EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwajaren dismissed the claims, saying Eberechukwu Obiano, the wife of immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano is not in their custody, based on the report.
Moreover, it will also be recalled that Obiano was arrested by EFCC in Lagos shortly after handing over to Charles Soludo, his successor in Anambra State.
However, Eberechukwu Obiano had shown her interest in running for the Anambra North Senatorial District, under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) platform, according to the report.
